Hard to Swallow Kick Starter!

Hey All!

As you probably have noticed, we've had a kickstarter campaign going to fund the printing of the collected volume of Hard to Swallow Comics, put together by Zan of North West Press!

We passed the initial goal of $15,000 around midnight on Weds, and we have a few stretch goals in play now: hardcover editions if we reach $17,500, and a full color section including a cover gallery and color pin-ups if we reach the $20,000 mark. At the rate we are going, we will easily make the first stretch goal, and if momentum keeps we will make the second!
I had to kick and scream and generally make a fool of myself to get the color section goal included, so let's make my making an ass of myself worth it, Droogies!

Visit the Kickstarter page for the campaign here:

The book includes all four previous volumes of the celebrated smut-rag, and enough new material to constitute a new fifth issue.
Includes over three hundred pages of story from Justin Hall and Dave Davenport, and guest contributors Bil Sherman, Steve MacIsaac, Drub, Brad Rader, Victor Hodge, and Jon Macy... plus some sweet pin-ups from Julian Cardozo and William O. Tyler!

Set for a release date of March 7th, 2016 (at Emerald City comic-con in Seattle).

Bent Comix Sampler

dave's cover
Hey all, just as an FYI, I’ve been proud to have instigated the BENT COMIX group, a co-op of gay adult comic book creators to hopefully have strength in numbers and a louder voice and larger presence. We put out a sampler a few months back, featuring teasers of work from : Brad Rader, Sean-Z, Sam Saturday, JC Etheredge, Ed Luce, Gravity Faggots, Belasco, Justin Hall, Steve MacIsaac, and myself (Dave Davenport). Some excerpts, some new work (my contribution is exclusive to the sampler).  The book is manga sized, full color, and features a cover by Brad Rader, and one by me.

HARD TO SWALLOW RELEASE PARTY AT ISOTOPE!

Please come by for the release party of hard to swallow #4 if you are in SF for folsom street weekend, or are lucky enough to live there. Isotope is a great place to be aware of in any case!

Quoting Justin Hall: “We’re having a big-ass release party at the Isotope Comics Lounge at 326 Fell St. (at Gough) in Hayes Valley on Friday,September 26th from 7-11pm.  Dave Davenport, my Hard To Swallow co-creator, will be there with me from LA, as well as a bevvy of other cartoonists.  There’ll be booze, naughty comics, cartoonists with loose morals, and DJ  bearzbub spinning a saucy collection of tunes.  I know it’s Folsom Street Fair weekend, but swing on by and get your groove on supporting local artists before heading out to whatever fisting party you have planned for that night…”
